British pop songstress Samira rebukes the pressures of February 14th with the release of her brand new single “Valentine’s Day (I Ain’t Got Time For That)” – an empowered pop anthem, dedicated to independent single people around the world!

Co-written by the singer with rising producer Jonny Parry (Beth McKenzie, Winnie Ama) and mixed by GRAMMY-winning US mix engineer Jeff Sojka (Armin Van Buuren, Monsta X), the punchy pop bop tells of the “spectacular ghosting” that led to Samira’s real-life break up and how she found herself spending the big day in the studio instead of being wined and dined!

Commenting on the super sassy track, the “See Through You” singer says: “I wrote this last year after I got spectacularly ghosted by a fitness influencer (ick!) I was dating, and then I had to wait a whole year until the big date rolled around again so I could spill the tea and get my revenge! The lyrics are sassy and lots of fun, but it’s also a bit of a reminder to prioritise your self-care, my darlings. I can’t wait for you to hear what else I have been cooking up in the studio for 2025.”

Having spent the majority of 2024 in the studio, working on the follow-up to her debut EP “Dancefloors & Drama Vol. 1”, with some of the industry’s most exciting names in UK dance, electronic and pop, “Valentine’s Day (I Ain’t Got Time For That)” serves as something of a new chapter for Samira.

Since emerging on the music scene back in 2022, following the release of her remake of American recording artist Shanice’s 1991 global smash hit ‘I Love Your Smile’ with super-producer collective W.D.C, the South London singer-songwriter has released a string of singles showcasing her undeniable ability to spin “bittersweet experiences into solid pop bangers”, garnering buzz and press support from BBC Radio 1 Future Pop, MTV UK, Billboard, NME Best New Bangers, and CLASH.
