JADE shines on debut solo album ‘That’s Showbiz Baby!’
2025 has been a stellar year for superstar IT Girl JADE. From winning her first solo BRIT award to delivering a show-stopping performance at Glastonbury, there is no doubt that she is fast becoming one of pop’s main girls.
JADE’s journey continues today with the release of her debut solo album, That’s Showbiz Baby!, an eclectic 14-track offering which perfectly sums up exactly who she is as an artist. After making a bold debut with ‘Angel of My Dreams’, JADE has wowed fans and music lovers far and wide with varied releases such as ‘FUFN’, ‘Plastic Box’, and ‘Midnight Cowboy’, accompanied by striking visuals. Each track has stood out in its own way, proving that you can’t predict JADE’s next move. On Thursday, ahead of the album’s release, she also unveiled ‘Unconditional’, a gorgeous love letter dedicated to her mum.
Now, the album is available in its entirety, and the new releases are equally as gripping, innovative, and beautifully chaotic. What’s clear is that JADE can produce style AND substance – this is not a ‘cookie cutter’ pop album, but an experimental body of work which embraces elements of disco, RnB, and synth-pop, all delivered with the South Shields star’s glimmering vocals.
We all know that JADE is a popstar with a personality, and this is clear on the cheeky ‘Lip Service’ where she makes it explicitly clear what she wants from her partner. In contrast, JADE showcases her vulnerability (and ethereal vocals) on tracks including ‘Silent Disco’, ‘Natural Disaster’, and ‘Self Saboteur’. One of the album highlights is ‘Before You Break My Heart’, which samples The Supremes and emphasises her soulful nature and the influence of the classics on her sound.
Overall, That’s Showbiz Baby! is a truly inspired debut. JADE has already proven her chops during her time in Little Mix as well her sensational run of summer performances this year, but this album fully confirms that she deserves to be the name on everyone’s lips.

JADE celebrated the release of her album last night with an impromptu performance at the Angel of the North in Newcastle. She will continue the party throughout the week with a series of sold-out signings at hmv stores across the country, as well as two performances at Circuit, Kingston.
Later this year, JADE will be heading out on tour across the UK and Ireland. Kicking off in Dublin on October 8, she will stop off at locations including Belfast, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and Newcastle before finishing off in London on October 22.
