STOP PRESS! Leigh-Anne announces title and release date for debut solo album ‘My Ego Told Me To’
October 15th 2025: Today marks a HUGE moment in pop history, as rule-breaking, trail-blazing British recording artist Leigh-Anne finally unveils the details — and release date — of her highly anticipated debut solo album, ‘My Ego Told Me To’.
Defying expectations and carving her creative own path, the record stands as a fearless, unapologetic celebration of freedom and self-expression.
Written by Leigh-Anne herself alongside the likes of Clarence “Coffee” Jr. (Dua Lipa, Beyoncé), Owen Cutts (Stormzy, Greentea Peng), Khris Riddick (SZA, Kehlani, Odeal), Fred Ball (Rihanna, Jessie Reyez), and rooted in her vibrant Caribbean heritage, the record sonically blends pop, R&B, dancehall, and reggae into a “powerful celebration of identity”.
Unfiltered and uncompromised, ‘My Ego Told Me To’ without question captures an artist letting go of who she once was, in order to become who she truly is — fearless, honest, and finally in control.
In a statement announcing the records impending release, Leigh-Anne says: “This album is the truest representation of me as an artist. Versatile, rooted in reggae and my heritage, but stamped with pop. It’s personal and impossible to box in. I wanted it to feel authentic, blending the genres I love with a sound that’s distinctly mine. It’s also a statement: standing by my art and doing it my way. These are songs I’ll be proud of in five, ten years, because they reflect exactly where I was. You’ll hear my world in it, my daughters, my marriage, my fight for power, and the moment I embraced my fire side and said: no more. This is my show now.”
Scheduled to drop Friday, February 20th 2026, the LP will include the singers most recent singles ‘Been A Minute’ and ‘Burning Up’, as well as her latest single ‘Dead and Gone’ which debuts THIS FRIDAY (October 17th).

Alongside the announcement of the albums title and release date, the ‘My Love’ singer has unveiled a string of live dates for 2026 in celebration of the LP’s release.
Scheduled to kick off at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin on April 6th 2026, the ‘My Ego Told Me To Tour’ will see Leigh-Anne visit major cities across the UK, Ireland and Europe throughout April.
Tickets are available on pre-sale from October 23rd at 10AM BST and general on-sale is from October 24th at 10AM BST. Exclusive artist pre-sale access will be given to fans who pre-order ‘My Ego Told Me To’ before 11:59PM BST on Thursday, October 23rd via Leigh-Anne’s website. Artist pre-sale begins on October 22nd at 10AM local time, you will be sent your information from 2PM BST October 21st.
