Lady Gaga Launches ‘The Mayhem Ball’ Tour with Explosive Las Vegas Opener

Lady Gaga has done it again. The global icon kicked off her highly anticipated ‘The Mayhem Ball’ tour with a sold-out show in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, and it was nothing short of spectacular.

The T-Mobile Arena was packed with thousands of eager fans who witnessed the opening night of what’s already being called one of Gaga’s most ambitious live shows yet. From the very first beat, Gaga took complete control of the stage, delivering an electrifying setlist that perfectly blended fresh hits from her chart-topping album ‘Mayhem’ with classic fan favourites.

Fans were treated to powerful live renditions of new favourites like “Abracadabra”, “Killah”, and “Vanish Into You”, while timeless anthems such as “Born This Way”, “Poker Face”, and “Bad Romance” sent the crowd into a frenzy. Of course, no Gaga show would be complete without her smash hit “Shallow” and the record-breaking “Die With a Smile”, her colossal collaboration with Bruno Mars.

The show’s production was next-level. Gaga, who co-produced the tour alongside Michael Polansky through their company Morningview, worked with creative powerhouses to craft a stunning visual experience. Parris Goebel handled the intense, razor-sharp choreography, while Ben Dalgleish of Human Person directed the show’s striking narrative flow. The costumes, a dazzling display of fashion artistry, were put together by Hunter Clem and Gaga’s sister Natali Germanotta under the Topo Studio label.

Critics were quick to heap praise on the pop superstar. Rolling Stone declared it a creative triumph, hailing Gaga for building on the world she introduced at Coachella. Variety described the spectacle as “breathless” and “finely-tuned”, while Billboard labelled it “a theatrical, electric and delicious live affair.” USA Today, meanwhile, focused on Gaga’s unmatched vocals and magnetic stage presence, saying she performed with the power and versatility that earned her her impressive collection of awards.

Gaga’s latest album ‘Mayhem’ is already a juggernaut. Not only did it debut at number one on the Billboard 200, but it has also dominated the dance charts and stayed in the top tiers of the global rankings for months. With over 8 billion streams worldwide and millions of albums sold, it has been certified Platinum in the US and smashed records on Spotify.

“Die With a Smile” continues to dominate, having topped the Billboard Global 200 for 18 weeks and making history as the longest-running number-one on Spotify’s global chart. The single reached 5.7 billion streams globally, solidifying its place as one of Gaga’s biggest hits to date.

‘The Mayhem Ball’ follows Gaga’s history-making Coachella set and record-breaking international shows, including a free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro that drew an estimated 2.5 million people, setting a new record for the largest crowd by a female artist.

Gaga’s tour continues in Las Vegas this weekend before moving to San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and beyond. The North American leg wraps up in September before Gaga heads across the Atlantic for a highly anticipated European and UK run, with multiple nights booked at London’s The O2 and Manchester’s Co-op Live. The tour then travels to Australia and finishes in Japan early next year.

With this thrilling start, it’s clear ‘The Mayhem Ball’ is more than just a concert—it’s a full-blown spectacle that celebrates Gaga’s unmatched artistry, boundless creativity, and deep connection with her fans.
