Samira Returns With Bangin’ New Single – ‘Cardio’

Hold onto your gym bags pop lovers, because Samira just dropped the hottest workout anthem of the year! That’s right, the ‘Like This, Like That’ singers brand-new single ‘Cardio’ has landed, and trust us, it’s a certified electronica / dance inspired banger that’s guaranteed to have you burning calories all summer long.

From the moment that bass kicks in, ‘Cardio’ is a full-throttle, sweat-dripping, endorphin-boosting bop, filled with boundless amounts of energy and sass. Think fierce vocals, thumping beats and a chorus that hits harder than leg day – Samira’s really not playing around.

Written by the singer herself along with Vince Kidd and Jonny Parry, the lyrical sentiment of the song is said to be centred around a “sexually-confident woman” who is unabashed and unafraid to test her suitor’s stamina on and off the dance floor.

Arriving arrives hot on the heels of her emotional house-pop collaboration ‘Missing’ with Alex Kirsch (which was added to Apple Music’s New Music Daily and Future Dance Hits, and Spotify’s New Dance Pop playlists), the high-energy club charisma of ‘Cardio’ serves as yet another vehicle for Samira to flex her undeniable pop credentials.

Speaking to HUNGER about this next chapter in her already groundbreaking career, the singer said: “My music has always been driven by club culture. You can hear bits of house and drum ‘n’ bass across my catalogue – I love dance music. There are more tracks to come from the EP, I’m so excited to finally get them out there!”

Following the release of her daring debut EP ‘Dancefloors & Drama Vol. 1’, Samira spent the majority of 2024 in the studio working on its follow-up, collaborating with some of musics most exciting tastemakers.

Earlier this year she played her first solo gig, turning the sold-out space at Soho’s Lower Third into a “sweaty club night”. With a setlist made up of wall-to-wall bangers, critics and fans hailed the gig a MAJOR success praising the West End star for her electric stage presence, innovative choreography and mesmerising vocals.

Away from music Samira recently shot her first film acting role in the upcoming indie horror, Bambi: The Reckoning, due for release this year.
