Rising singer-songwriter Pedro Santos returns with a powerful new single ‘The Way You Do’, an emotionally charged follow-up that solidifies his place as one of 2025’s most compelling new voices in pop.
The Portuguese-born, UK-based artist — who first caught attention earlier this year with his debut ‘Someone I Don’t Know’ — continues to explore the depths of vulnerability and connection in his latest release, produced by Josh Oliver and Jordan Cosmo and mixed by Charlie Holmes.
Built around Santos’ signature blend of heartfelt lyricism and sleek, modern production, ‘The Way You Do’ captures the complicated moments that linger long after love fades. “This song wasn’t actually written from a personal perspective. It was about someone I know who had been in a relationship for so long and everyone around them was so sure it was end game,” Pedro says of the emotional track.
“With some complications that happened behind closed doors, they split up — which was a shock to everyone. The actual lyrics depict the story of when they locked eyes across a room after both of them had moved on and were with separate partners.”
Santos first emerged from London’s independent scene with his reflective songwriting and genre-blurring sound, combining acoustic warmth with pop polish. His introspective debut drew comparisons to artists like Dean Lewis and Shawn Mendes, and his newest work expands that sonic universe with richer textures and emotional nuance.
HIs first two single releases ‘Someone I Don’t Know’ and ‘Lady In Red’ caused major buzz online, the latter amassing over 2.2 million streams on Spotify in just a matter of weeks. This summer he captivated audiences across the UK and Europe whilst on tour with Cian Ducrot, and made his solo festival debut at All Points East Festival in Victoria Park, London alongside global stars RAYE, Tyla and JADE.
